After almost 12 incredible years, it is with mixed emotions that we announce the closing of Safran. We have thoroughly enjoyed the pressure of running a successful formal restaurant, but it is now time for us to embrace a simpler life with a bit more freedom for our family.

Our last service will be Saturday September 7th.

We want to extend our deepest gratitude to all our amazing patrons who have supported us throughout this journey.

A special thank you goes out to our extraordinary staff, past and present. Your dedication, hard work, and passion have made Safran the special place it is. We couldn’t have achieved what we did without each one of you.

As we near the close this chapter, we carry with us many cherished memories and a heart full of appreciation. Thank you for being a part of our story thus far.. our new chapter will be focused on Sulo’s Shish Kebabs.

Inspired by Turkiye’s rich culinary history: from the Ottoman Palace kitchens, Istanbul meyhanes, street food, & traditional village meals, Chef Suleyman Kirbancioglu draws upon authentic recipes and techniques, presenting them with contemporary interpretation.

Thanks largely to the Ottoman Empire and Turkiye’s geographical location linking Asia & Europe, Turkish cuisine is melting pot of Middle Eastern, Central Asian, European, & Balkan influences. Safran aims to showcase the many facets of Turkish food that goes well beyond kebabs & pide bread. We hope you enjoy the experience!
